Thank you for looking at my website. I like to see a good dog do what he is bred and trained to do. Whether it is a birddog locked down on a covey of quail, a cowdog gathering a pasture full of stockers or even a watchdog keeping the county assesor out of the yard when nobody is home. A dog that does what he is bred to do with passion and a desire to please his master is a wonderful thing.
Cattledogs and training are my passion. We have been very blessed within the business. I was once told that "Success is a ladder that can't be climbed with your hands in your pocket" and that is something I took to heart. Raising a family, hours upon hours of training, miles traveling to trials, and the great customers we have is something we would not trade for the world!! Outside of dogs Paul has a passion for the great outdoors. Deer, Quail, Turkey, Wild Hogs, and Big Game keep him occupied. Nothing is more relaxing than enjoying a hunt with your daughters.
The success that Gilbert Stockdogs has had not only as a breeder is humbling, but the success that our dogs have had at trials makes us hungry for more. Zack, Bell, Boomer, Badge, Spook, King, Nuge, Bull, Reba and many more have came out of our program and we are extremely proud of each and every one of them. From Futurity Champions to Open Dog of the Year to National Cattle dog Champion, each and everyone of them are special.
